Swine Health Surveillance

The State of New Mexico in cooperation with the United States Department of Agriculture, Veterinary Services, is conducting a voluntary swine disease surveillance program throughout the State of New Mexico.

The program is designed to monitor disease outbreaks in swine herds and to prevent  the incursion of serious disease into the swine herds of New Mexico. The New Mexico  Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory does all testing required at no additional expense to the producer.

Dr. Gregory Griggs is working with swine herds through out the state and can be reached by contacting the New Mexico Livestock Board at (505) 841 6163.  Back
